MECHANISMS FOR ENSURING FOOD SECURITY IN THE SYSTEM OF STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES
Abstract
The article examines theoretical, methodological and applied aspects of ensuring food security in the system of strategic management of agricultural enterprises in the conditions of war and post-war transformations. It is shown that food security is a multidimensional category that includes physical and economic availability, stability of supply, quality and safety of food products. The generalization of scientific approaches proves the need for a comprehensive assessment that takes into account the interaction of economic, institutional and social factors. Based on FAO methods and state statistics, an assessment of key indicators of food security in the Odessa region was carried out. The model energy value of the diet, the indicator of consumption adequacy, economic availability of products, the level of food independence and the provision of grain resources were calculated. It was established that the daily energy value of the population's diet is lower than the normative values, and the share of animal products tends to decrease, which indicates the formation of a deficit of protein and micronutrient components. The economic accessibility indicator demonstrates the growth of the financial burden on households, especially socially vulnerable groups. The structure of the region's food independence is analysed. It is shown that a high level of self-sufficiency in grain production is combined with insufficient provision of fruits and certain types of livestock products. It is proven that military actions have increased structural imbalances in the food system and exacerbated the need to form sustainable management mechanisms. The article proposes an integrated system of mechanisms for ensuring food security in agricultural enterprises, which includes institutional and organizational, investment and innovation, logistics and marketing, environmental and resource and socio-economic instruments. It is substantiated that their implementation will contribute to increasing the sustainability of the agricultural sector, strengthening regional food independence and the effectiveness of strategic management in conditions of high uncertainty.
