Abstract

The article explores the impact of machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) on international trade, highlighting their role in optimizing supply chains, improving demand forecasting, enhancing customs procedures, and ensuring payment security. AI reduces operational costs, boosts forecasting accuracy, and speeds up transaction processing. However, challenges include integrating AI into traditional systems and ensuring cybersecurity. The article discusses AI's future potential, emphasizing its transformative role in the global economy and trade. AI has revolutionized trade by automating processes, analyzing large datasets, and optimizing supply chains, making trade more efficient and cost-effective. It also helps businesses forecast demand, anticipate shifts in consumer behavior, and adjust production. Predictive analytics powered by AI identifies trends, enabling better planning and reduced inefficiencies. Customs procedures have also been improved with AI, automating document verification and speeding up border clearance. AI algorithms help detect fraud in real-time, enhancing the security of global payment systems by identifying compromised methods and reducing fraud risks. Despite the advantages, integrating AI into trade systems presents challenges related to cybersecurity, data privacy, and ethics. Compatibility with existing infrastructure and regulations is also an issue. Traditional systems may struggle to adapt to rapid innovation. The article examines the future of AI in trade, predicting that machine learning will further enhance logistics, trade efficiency, and real-time pricing strategies. AI's application in supply chain management helps businesses manage inventory, forecast demand more precisely, and lower transportation costs. AI's continued development promises greater global trade integration, providing small and medium-sized enterprises with better access to international markets. With the adoption of AI, trade will likely become more transparent, secure, and efficient, fostering sustainable growth and new innovation opportunities for businesses.
