ANALYSIS OF THE EFFICIENCY OF FUNCTIONING OF THE LOGISTICS MECHANISM OF THE ENTERPRISE'S ACTIVITIES

Abstract

The article focuses on the problems of managing the logistics component of the functioning and development of enterprises. It is argued that the logistics subsystem serves as one of the most important in the general system of production and economic activity of enterprises of all types of economic activity, especially the production and trade sectors. It was established that quality management in each field and in logistics in particular involves the full implementation of all basic management functions, among which the function of analysis is one of the first. It is as a result of the analysis that it becomes possible to ascertain the effectiveness of the formation and functioning of the logistics system (in the form of a corresponding logistics mechanism of the enterprise's functioning), existing problems in this area, as well as prospective measures to improve the situation and improve internal logistics business processes. It has been proven that ensuring efficiency here serves as a guarantee / prerequisite for the rhythm, stability and efficiency of production (systems of trade, provision of services, etc.), as well as the efficiency of shipment and sale of products (goods, works, services), respectively, the formation of the company's income, and in the future - replenishment working capital, ensuring profit and achieving profitability, ensuring proper financial and economic condition and stability, liquidity, solvency, etc. It has been established that the first step on the way to ensuring the proper level of efficiency of the logistics mechanism of the enterprise is its analysis and evaluation. As a result of such work, it is necessary to give answers to questions not only in terms of how much costs were incurred for logistics and related processes and what total (expressed in terms of value) positive effect was ensured; what is the effectiveness of such expenses (sometimes – investments), but also regarding such aspects as: efficiency of resource use; return on investment; the degree of modernization of the technical and technological base of the logistics system; security of business processes; contribution of logistics to overall corporate efficiency and business development. It was established that enterprises should develop and test a full-fledged methodical approach to the analysis, evaluation and diagnosis of the logistics mechanism of the enterprise's functioning. Its basic criteria should be: systematicity, comprehensiveness, taking into account all components and aspects of business processes in logistics, influence on the overall efficiency of production and business, taking into account the peculiarities of the domestic market, industry, type of economic activity and the enterprise in general.
