PECULIARITIES OF INTRALOGISTICS THROUGH THE PRISM OF REGIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT
Abstract
The purpose of the article is to review the theoretical foundations and justification of the intralogistics concept and to study the implementation of intralogistics at the level of regional infrastructure. The terminology used to define the concept of intralogistics, the role of digitalization, the concepts of supply chain, logistics hub, and infrastructure are studied. The importance of intralogistics at the country level is revealed. The recent global turmoil has clearly demonstrated how important reliable and sustainable supply chains are to maintain balance in our interconnected lives. Due to the unstable situation in the world, including the war in Ukraine, traditional logistics strategies and services are being severely tested, forcing the world to open up new areas and innovative logistics solutions. Trends indicating the development of automation at all levels of the supply chain have been identified, and as a result, the value of the intralogistics implementation market is growing progressively. It has been studied that one of the most effective optimization measures in logistics systems of various levels is the automation of logistics business processes, which has an impact not only on the micro- but also on the macro-logistics system, allowing to create the most flexible and reliable supply chains. It is worth mentioning that significant progress in the field of digitalization, driven by the continuous and dynamic development of robotics/new technologies, today allows companies to easily optimize their logistics processes. This makes it possible to develop radically new management concepts in the context of internal logistics processes – the most important of which is the so-called intralogistics 4.0. In conclusion, the development of intralogistics is an important factor in increasing the competitiveness of Ukraine's regions. To achieve this, further development of regional infrastructure and the introduction of modern technologies are required. Implementation of intralogistics development programs at the regional level will allow Ukraine to reach the European level of standards, which will create favorable conditions for attracting foreign investors.
