THEORETICAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL AND ECONOMIC BASIS OF THE FORMATION OF FOOD SECURITY TAKING INTO ACCOUNT GLOBAL CHALLENGES

Abstract

The article describes the modern state and prospects for the formation of food security under the conditions of globalization. It examines the contemporary approaches of foreign and domestic scientists to the definition of the terms "globalization" and "food security". In this regard, globalization should be considered as a growing interconnection and interdependence of economies of all integrated countries. Food security is determined as a process of uninterrupted and complete supply of a quality and diverse foods in their necessary quantity, and at affordable prices for a full-fledged vital activity of the population. The organizational and economic mechanism of solution to the problem of providing the population with food under the conditions of globalization development is based on political, legal, economic, social and ecological foundations of the state policy in the field of food security. The article examines the current state and prospects for the formation of food security in the conditions of globalization. The modern approaches of foreign and domestic scientists to the definition of the concepts of "globalization" and "food security" are considered. It has been established that globalization should be considered as an ever-growing relationship and interdependence of the economies of all integrated countries. It was determined that food security is the process of uninterrupted and full provision of high-quality and diverse food products in the necessary quantity and at affordable prices for the full life of the population. The organizational and economic mechanism for solving the problem of providing the population with food products in the context of the development of world globalization is based on the political, legal, economic, social and ecological principles of the state policy in the field of food security. The purpose of the article is to study the theoretical foundations of the concepts of "food security" and "globalization", the justification of the organizational and economic mechanism of food security formation in the conditions of the globalization of the economy and practical recommendations for its adaptation under the changing conditions of the external environment.
