DAIRY INDUSTRY IN MODERN REALITIES: DEVELOPMENT OF EXPORT POTENTIAL OF ENTERPRISES

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to analyze enterprises of the dairy industry, their current state and confirm the importance of the development of export activities for the prospects of future growth of the exact direction. The question of the development of export potential has been repeatedly raised by many scientists. And in analyzing the today`s state of the dairy industry, the authors adhere to one view that the only way of the dairy industry stay out of crisis is to expand export activities. During the pandemic, this issue has become even more relevant and needs to be reconsidered in more details. In the analysis of economic activity, including foreign affairs, statistical methods of research of numerical data, and also a method of comparison are applied. The authors proved that the development of export potential is a strategically important task facing domestic enterprises, as export activity currently occupies a leading position in the list of tools that are actively used in the process of demonstrating the strengths of economic entities. The article demonstrates a Ukraine's place in the world milk market today, and determines that the demand for dairy products in the domestic market began to exceed supply. In addition, the authors identify key factors that demotivate the development of the dairy industry, as well as list the advantages of Ukraine as a promising market for the development of the dairy facilities. According to the results of the study, the urgent need for dairy enterprises to develop export potential was proved, and a list of countries with incompletely satisfied consumer demand was formed. These markets need new producers with an expanded range of milk and dairy products to cover different segments of buyers. The results of the study can be used by dairy companies that are on the verge of unprofitable results, but continue to fight for their own existence and consumers attention. With the right plan and organization of export activities to markets where the niche of dairy products is still free, dairy companies will be able to succeed, regain their competitive advantages and contribute to the overall development of the country's economy.
