INNOVATIVE AND TECHNOLOGICAL CONDITIONS OF ENTERPRISES IN THE CONTEXT OF THE PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT OF ECONOMY OF UKRAINE

Abstract

The article substantiates the urgency of the problem of innovation and technological updating of domestic enterprises in the context of their influence on the general state of development of the country's economy. The attention is focused on the issues of attracting investments for their conversion in order to increase the competitiveness of the national economy in the international market. The efficiency of using the economic-technological potential of Ukraine from the time of independence to the present has been analyzed. The dynamics of GDP of the country for 1991-2017 and the reasons for the negative trend of this macroeconomic indicator are described. The efficiency of using traditional technologies at enterprises in terms of their energy efficiency, energy intensity and influence on product quality is investigated. It is established that according to the index of global competitiveness Ukraine occupies the middle positions and is significantly behind the neighboring countries (Poland, Russia, Turkey). Regarding the technological readiness of the Ukrainian economy, slight positive changes have been noted over recent years in terms of the use of information technology and the implementation of technological borrowings. The role of the ruling political circles in defusing the material and technical updating of production capacities of the national economy is described. Significant reduction of direct foreign investments in Ukraine from the beginning of 2013 to the present. The theoretical description of the economic and political future of the state as a result of creditor's dependence on international organizations is given. The direct proportional dependence of GDP dynamics on the volume of investments into the economy on examples of foreign experience (Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland) has been analyzed. The main prerequisites for the development of the national economy and the conduct of economic and trade policy at the world level are outlined.
