ON THE ISSUE OF FORECASTING OF LABOR MIGRATION IN UKRAINE
Abstract
In the article are described methods of estimation of potential volumes of migration and ways of mathematical forecasting migratory flows. Qualitative and quantitative methods for labour migration study are analysed. The main migration trends in Ukraine are determined by indicators calculation and by analysis of the results of sociological researches. The basic models of labour migration forecasting are analysed. The advantages and disadvantages of applying different approaches to labour migration forecasting are identified. The main factors of influence for labour migration are investigated. The extrapolation method is used to construct a regression model for predicting migration flows to Ukraine. The reliability of the model is verified. The forecast of the volume of labour migration from Ukraine is calculated and the necessity of applying an integrated approach in estimating the potential volumes of labour migration is proved.
