STRUCTURAL-DYNAMIC APPROACH TO DIAGNOSTICS OF INNOVATION ECOSYSTEMS

Abstract

The article analyzes the theoretical and methodological principles of the analysis of innovation ecosystems and forms an approach to diagnostics taking into account their structural configuration and dynamic stability of development. The feasibility of using the structural-dynamic approach as an integrative analytical concept that combines time, structural and effective dimensions of the functioning of the innovation ecosystem is substantiated. A system of metrics is formed that allows parameterizing the processes of resource provision, innovation activity and commercialization of research and development results, taking into account tempo and variation characteristics. The dynamic stability index is developed and formalized as the ratio of the average annual growth rate of the indicator to its coefficient of variation, which provides an assessment of the consistency of the trend and fluctuation components of development. The dynamics of key indicators of the innovation ecosystem of Ukraine in the conditions of increasing geopolitical and macroeconomic instability is analyzed. The heterogeneity of the stability of its components, the asynchrony of the development of resource and productive components, the discontinuous nature of the innovative return were revealed. Increased volatility of innovation commercialization indicators and a decrease in the consistency between investment costs and the volumes of innovative products sold were recorded. It was proven that the use of a structural-dynamic approach allows identifying latent development disparities, time lags and instability zones that remain outside the boundaries of traditional integral indices and rating assessments. The analytical suitability of the proposed toolkit for diagnosing the internal consistency of the innovation ecosystem and forming substantiated management decisions aimed at increasing the stability and effectiveness of innovative development was confirmed. A promising direction of research was identified as the expansion of the structural-dynamic toolkit by integrating network analysis of the interaction of innovation ecosystem entities and modeling long-term trajectories of its transformation under structural shocks.
