STRENGTHENING AND DEVELOPING THE POTENTIAL OF FINANCIAL AND ECONOMIC SECURITY OF INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISES

Abstract

The author compares the concept of "financial and economic security" with the concepts of: "development", "sustainability", "manageability" and "vulnerability". The concept of "sustainability" is characterized, which reflects the strength and reliability of the system elements, vertical and horizontal links within the system, the ability to bear internal and external information loads. The key indicators of the enterprise, which are unique for each enterprise and its strategy, are characterized. An analysis of indicators for measuring the activities of industrial enterprises according to different scholars that affect the financial condition and financial and economic security of the enterprise is carried out The structure and dynamics of profits of small, large and medium-sized enterprises are analyzed, which will allow to make a general idea of the financial stability and financial and economic security of enterprises. The structure and dynamics of expenses of small, large and medium-sized enterprises are analyzed. A methodology for minimizing the financial and economic risks of enterprises under martial law has been developed. The profitability indicators of the studied enterprises are calculated. A methodology for managing financial and economic risks is proposed. In the course of the analysis, we analyzed the current state of small, large and medium-sized enterprises and identified the main problems that lead to a drop in profitability due to the crisis periods in the Ukrainian economy. Using the example of an industrial enterprise, we calculated the probability of its bankruptcy and identified the main measures that will help the enterprise improve its financial performance and ensure a high level of financial and economic security. Proposals to ensure the financial and economic security of the researched enterprise have been developed, based on the identified problems that pose threats to the economic security of the enterprise as a whole, namely actualization of the current inventory standards; reducing the period of deferred payments to consumers and partners; leasing or selling fixed assets that are rarely used in production processes, or selling them; introducing modern digital products into the financial management system to exercise operational control over the movement of financial resources; shortening production cycles, taking into account the modernization of the company's material and technical base, to accelerate the turnover of current assets. The probability of bankruptcy of the studied industrial enterprises is calculated. Having studied the general state of Ukrainian business, it is clear that companies are suffering from high exchange rates, rising fuel and electricity prices, which leads to higher prices for the final product and, accordingly, decreased sales, as purchasing power is falling amid high inflation.
